The course was constructed during the week, and held up perfectly with a solid setup the night before. The theme was most definitely urban, handrail style features - with one giant pad and takeoff for 4 different round rails, including a 24 elbow rail, a 30 down-flat-down rail, the 19 OG rail, and the 21 down-flat rail.

The first day of spring couldnt have been nicer - bluebird skies and temps feeling like May or June, rising up into the 60s by the afternoon made for an amazing day to be outside.
App Terrain Park is proud to have assembled our strongest group of dedicated riders yet working as park crew for the 09-10 season. These individuals are on the hill before most wake up, and working well after everyone has passed out making sure the parks live up to their potential. Constant rebuilds, battling heavy snow and snowmaking, coping with rain, wind, and absurd amounts of snow melt are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to keeping ATP running smooth every day. Throw in over 15 events that need planning, executing, infrastructure organization, setup, breakdown, feature maintenance, 3 terrain parks, photo shoots, video edits, changing incident and park reports, and you can see it takes a lot more than meets the eye to provide a legitimate terrain park, especially in our region.

ATPs SFTC Rail Jam went down Sunday, February 28th. The weather was definitely wintry - with fresh snow falling all day long, coupled with gusty winds and temps hovering in the mid 20s. The park crew pulled through in a huge way with the course setup, and offered six rail/box features that catered to all ability levels, and had potential for immense amounts of variations and combinations. The course consisted of a 24 flat box, a 18 down handrail, a 19 lift tower on a slight incline with transitioned sides, a 16 juice box on a true tabletop making for a super smooth approach, a 21 down flat handrail setup true urban style, and the 20 skinny box setup with a healthy gap to allow for different spins on and off. As the snow began to accumulate during the day, stomping your first trick became more important to keep speed for the second line of features.
